Louis XIV was an absolute monarch who believed in the divine right to rule his country. He was a stereotype absolute monarch during the French classical age with how he abused his power, using enormous amounts of money on extravagant luxuries and grand buildings, such as the

Between 7:30-8 AM Valet de Chambre wakes up the king by saying "Sire, it is time." Afternoon: 2 PM the King gave his orders for what he was going to do that afternoon. Evenings: 10 PM the crowd would squeeze into the antechamber in the Kings apartment to attend the Grand Public Supper. |
